That’s why we’re shining a spotlight on Glaucoma UK — the charity dedicated to helping people understand their condition, access the right care, and feel supported every step of the way.

Whether you’ve been recently diagnosed, are supporting a loved one, or simply want to learn more about protecting your eye health, this article will help you discover where to turn for reliable information and compassionate support.
ABOUT GLAUCOMA UK
Glaucoma UK is the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to raising awareness of, and supporting people living with, glaucoma. Our mission is to prevent avoidable sight loss caused by the disease, and to work towards a future free from glaucoma.
At Glaucoma UK, we work to promote early detection and effective treatment, so that people can continue to live well with glaucoma.
And we provide trusted information, guidance, and support whenever and however it is needed, for anyone living with glaucoma, their friends, and family. If you’re living with the disease and want to know more about our UK-wide supportive community, you can read more about becoming a member on the Glaucoma UK website.

The impact of high-quality research
We also fund high-quality research towards the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of glaucoma.
We have recently published our first ever Research Impact Report, covering the period between 2015 and 2025, to highlight the impact of our work in this area.
You can read the impact report here.
You will also find information about opportunities to participate in research – and can see the latest projects on the Glaucoma UK website.
