Blephagel® is a preservative-free eyelid cleansing gel formulated for gentle daily cleansing. It is suitable for all skin types and contact lens wearers, designed to reduce the occurrence of skin reactions and remove dirt, tears, dried secretions, pollen and make-up. An easy-to-use product, Blephagel® is an eyelid cleanser that leaves a refreshing, cooling sensation as it softens and soothes even the most sensitive eyelids.
When using a new Blephagel® tube for the first time, gently press the front of the tube for around 3 seconds to push the gel up towards the pump for easier dispensing.
1. Press the head (PUMP) to release a small amount of Blephagel® onto a pad (do not press the tube). Remove any gel left on the tube nozzle with the pad.
2. With the help of a mirror, close one eye and gently apply the gel to the closed eyelid and eyelash roots.
3. Using circular movements, gently rub the eyelids and eyelash roots and continue until all dirt, make-up and other debris has been removed.
4. Remove any excess Blephagel® from the eyelid with a clean pad.
5. Repeat these 4 steps for the other eye.
Blephagel® can be used as part of an everyday routine, including both morning and night, suitable for sensitive skin. Regular eyelid cleansing can play an important role in the management of eyelid disorders such as blepharitis, dry eye and allergic conjunctivitis. The hypoallergenic formula is designed for cleansing, removing dust and allergens and designed to reduce the occurrence of skin reactions.
1. How long does a tube of Blephagel® last?
Once opened Blephagel® can be used for up to 4 months.
2. How much Blephagel® should I apply to my eyelids?
Our pump dispenser provides an accurate dosage of 60 gel applications. Simply pump Blephagel® onto the cotton pad you use to apply the gel. This dose is enough for both eyelids, apply this dose to one pad then transfer half to a second pad so there is a separate pad for each eye.
3. Is Blephagel® preservative free?
Yes - Blephagel® is 100% free from preservatives and can be used for up to 4 months from opening.
4. When should I apply Blephagel®?
Use Blephagel® twice a day, morning and evening or as often as is deemed necessary; it can also be left on overnight and wiped off in the morning.
5. How can I store Blephagel®? Do not store Blephagel® above 25°C. Do not cut the tube, as there will be a risk of contamination from bacteria.
6. Who can use Blephagel®? Blephagel® is suitable for sensitive, irritated and allergy-prone skin.
